The Hitachi Group is a world's leader in the business of social innovation. Hitachi provides customer solutions across a wide range of sectors, along with Power, Energy, Industry, Finance, Government & Public, and Healthcare, via collaborative creation. For the Asia Pacific market, Hitachi Vantara, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, has introduced its entry-level storage system, Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G130. VSP G130 is an integral part of VSP G series hybrid-flash systems that promote smaller initiatives to upgrade data centers. VSP G130 offers agile data infrastructure with low costs for SMBs, remote or branch offices which need local storage capabilities, directly attached storage (DAS) environments, and simplified virtual server deployments.
Companies need to embrace storage solutions that strengthen workloads with minimum investment, provide value and gain insights into the business. Enterprise-grade trustworthiness and operational simplicity are also crucial for storage solutions to promote current and future cloud strategies. For customers with smaller deployment needs, VSP G130 is able to solve all of these challenges. VSP G130 allows data centers to be seamlessly automated and enhances operational efficiency. The system is driven by the next generation operating system Hitachi Storage Virtualization, SVOS RF. VSP G130 reduces costs and complexity while providing greater network utilization. It also optionally provides end-to-end analytics for sophisticated administrative efficiencies that enhance the predictability of operations.
VSP G130 promotes OpenStack drivers in providing users with a cloud-like experience. The product also encourages containers to speed up the development of cloud-native applications via DevOps, allowing persistent availability of data while being orchestrated by prominent container platforms. Furthermore, with Hitachi Vantara's Hi-Track Remote Monitoring system and analytics abilities, customers can use VSP G130 to analyze constructively, support and preserve cloud solutions' health.
VSP G130 comes packed with local replication software and storage management. Optional new features involve data protection and backup orchestration service performance analytics, predictive analytics, and Hitachi Data Instance Director (HDID). Hitachi VSP G130 is accessible in ASEAN, Australia, China, Hong Kong, and New Zealand which will be available late half of 2019 for the rest of the APAC region.
